Wander through bogs, forests, and seaside trails, explore historic manors, and meet the spirit of Estonia’s countryside on this unforgettable day tour.
Stop 1 – Jägala Waterfall
Our day begins at Jägala Waterfall, Estonia’s widest and most photogenic natural cascade. You can admire it from the top or walk down to feel its refreshing mist. In winter, it becomes a magical frozen sculpture — a perfect photo stop in any season.
Stop 2 – Viru Bog Trail
Next, we head into Viru Bog, one of the most iconic landscapes in Estonia. Follow a wooden boardwalk through mystical wetlands and pine forests, and climb the viewing tower for panoramic views. In summer, you might even take a refreshing swim in a bog lake — a true Estonian nature ritual!
Stop 3 – Altja Fishing Village
We then continue to the northern coastline to explore a charming fishing village — Altja, famous for its traditional wooden houses with reed roofs. Enjoy a peaceful seaside walk, take in the salty air, and discover stories of Estonia’s maritime spirit.
Stop 4 - Enjoy a Traditional Estonian Meal
We’ll stop for a hearty traditional Estonian meal in the national park (lunch not included). Let me know your dietary preferences, and I’ll make sure you’re well taken care of.
Stop 5 - Sagadi or Vihula Manor
Step back in time at one of Lahemaa’s beautiful Baltic-German manor estates. Wander through elegant halls, parkland, and gardens while hearing stories of the families who once lived here. Each manor reflects Estonia’s layered cultural history and rural grace.
